What is the French Tourist Tax?

Local French authorities may charge a tourist tax for each person staying there. This varies from place to place, and can be up to €2 per day.

What facilities will be open at my resort?

Resort and accommodation services and facilities may be restricted or withdrawn at certain times for maintenance, and/or bad weather or during low season. If the availability of a particular service/facility is of paramount importance to the enjoyment of your holiday then you should raise this with us at the time of booking.

What deposit will I pay at my self catering property?

On arrival at all self catering properties you will be asked for a deposit to cover any damage, excess usage for gas & electricity, heating, linen, rental, tourist tax etc. and this will be returned on departure minus any necessary deductions.

What is the Brittany Ferries Price Match Guarantee?

Brittany Ferries will match the price of any identical holiday found at a lower price within 28 days of booking with Brittany Ferries. The identical holiday must include –dates, times and route, vehicle or trailer size and on board accommodation, dates of holiday accommodation, duration of holiday and location, including type and standard of accommodation, facilities and party size. The travel and accommodation must be available and be offered as an inclusive package by the operator. The price match is based on published brochure prices and excludes insurance, hotel booking service, special offers, loyalty bonuses and travel agent discounts.

What shall I do if I encounter a problem whilst abroad?

We are confident that you will enjoy your holiday but if you do encounter a problem you must immediately notify the relevant local owner, caretaker or supplier to try to resolve the problem at the time, and also contact our Helpline. A failure to do so will reduce or negate your right to claim redress from us. Our Helpline offices are manned by specialist bilingual staff.
